Rules

General League Information

1. Players will play one opponent per week in the given timeframe. The time frame in which two players can play their match begins on Monday at noon and extends until Monday morning (Sunday night) at 3 am. Games may be played anywhere that has a 9-foot table. Griffith Billiards has sanctioned the league and only requires that you pay $5, regardless of how long the match takes. Please do not abuse this.

2. Players will play a series of 13 total games: 4 games of 8-ball, 4 games of 9-ball, and 4 games of 10-ball. The games will rotate as such: 8,9,10,8,9,10,8,9,10,8,9,10. The thirteenth game will go as follows. The players will flip a coin. Whoever wins the coin flip will have the option to either choose the game (8,9,10) or choose to break. If player A chooses the game, player B will break. If player A chooses the break, player B will choose the game.

3. All games must be played and recorded; it is not simply a race to 7.

4. Players will record their matches on either a piece of paper, or in their phones. Once finished, one player will report their scores to Derek. All scores will be recorded and posted weekly on the League Facebook page until the website is 100% functional.

5. The player with the most weekly wins, meaning 7 or more rounds won in a given week, will take first place. The second most wins will receive second place, and so on. The payouts are as based on field size. In the event of a tie, the player with more total rounds won will win the tie and will become sole proprietor of that given placement. This is why it is important to play all matches. In the event of two players ending with the exact same amount of rounds won, these two players will play a tiebreaker set.

6. Playoff matches will follow the same format; however, these matches will be a best of 3 sets. This means that the first person to win two races to 7 wins. Playoff brackets will be seeded according to division and placement. They will always depend on field size.
